New Flasks BUYALEX Are Available Now!!
They’re here! New flasks designs are now available!
After a wonderful time meeting so many great people at Patchwork, I’ve kicked off a new period in the Store BUYALEX. There are new flask designs including robots, tentacles and cameras! I’ve also used some new printing techniques which I’ve mixed with hand drawing to create unique styles.

Patchwork Follow-Up
Thank you everyone who came out to see me at the Patchwork show at Jack London Square in Oakland on November 18th! Also, huge thanks to my friends for helping me set up and take down my little booth.
It was my first arts fair, and I was happy to be there. The Bay Area is known for their massive quantity of creative individuals, and that idea doesn’t fall short of the art fairs. There were a ton of great vendors and visitors at the show, it really was a pleasure to learn with everyone!
I look forward to doing it again! Thanks to Patchwork I’ve been requested to attend a handful of other local shows. I’ve even been asked by a few local stores to start selling my products with them. I’m very excited for these opportunities and can’t wait to see what happens next.
SFEtsy Zoo Trip
Earlier this month I had the pleasure of visiting the San Francisco Zoo as part of a group outing with the SFEtsy team. There was even lunch provided by Weave!
The goal of the day was to collect inspiration for an SFEtsy 2013 Animal calendar, which will be coming out soon. In addition, we got to meet other awesome artists, designers, crafters, and animal enthusiasts who were along for the adventure. Here are some shout outs: Isabella and Ling (let’s hang out again, girls!), tofufu, Even Howard, poppypeach, Birdbags, TheLeiStand, Jewelry By Tabernash, Lulu Deux Millinery, Katy Atchison, Frances Marin. I know I had a blast and certainly enjoyed being in such great company! Here are some shots from the trip:
Oakland Patchwork Indie Arts & Crafts Festival
Important news everyone! Hand drawn flasks, gocco printed notebooks, prize capsule terrariums and other new things BUYALEX will be unveiled at the Patchwork Indie Arts & Crafts Festival in Oakland, CA! There will be over 100 vendors total, so come out, say hey, and check out all of the amazing artists and crafsters of Oakland.

Introducing the New Myspace

Believe it or not, I’m actually really excited for Myspace. Their upcoming redesign is a designer’s wet dream, and the user interface and experience of the new Myspace site looks phenomenal. Beautiful, large typography. Great interactions and use of space to show off what’s really important. Focused interactions and minimalistic approach. Sign me back up! Who’s with me?

While interning as a creative at Deutsch I worked on many clients including Outback Steakhouse. My partner and I worked with our mentors on a number of Outback promotions including the web banners for the steakhouse’s new Wood-Fire Grill and in-store mock-ups for “No Worries Wednesday.” Outback purchased two of banner concepts including a rich-media banner. This was the first time Outback made a rich-media buy through Deutsch.
